THE AUSTRALIAN KELPIE

Introduction

There are probably few easier to maintain and prepare for show than the kelpie. With their beautiful colours the attract lots of attention. Being easy to train Kelpies show themselves very well. Many children have obtain excellent results with a kelpie. Since they are so healthy and robust and have a natural sheen, little expense is involved in getting them ready for a show. A good quality shampoo and conditioner is all that is required. A check chain and lead and away you go, and breeders always ready to help.

Working
The Kelpie is said to be the greatest sheepdog in the world, having a natural instinct for this work and the high intelligence and courage to back it up. Combine aft this with their stamina and their eagerness to please, then it Is no wonder that they are unsurpassed in this field. Pet
Kelpies are a healthy breed rarely ill and on those occasions when they are, usually surprise and amaze vets by the speed and completeness of their recovery. When injured by accident they show an equally remarkable ability to heal. They come in seven beautiful colours; Red, Black, Chocolate, Smoke Blue, Fawn, Red & Tan, Black & Tan.
